Now that's unexpected!

I do however find it somewhat amusing that builds like this are the "thing" nowadays. We always had an example or two like this (one of them was mine, a 65 F100 with a built 429 & C6) running around in my area years ago, but they were like that just because the owners couldn't afford to do the bodywork and paint. We didn't know that patina was cool back then. ;-)
